Transportation
The transportation on the Dead Sea includes various cruise boats and excursion ships. Jerusalem is 39km from the Northern Dead Sea and Tel Aviv is 98km. To reach the Dead Sea, you can take the road from Jerusalem (Highway 1 & 90), Eilat and Tel Aviv. You can also take a bus from Jerusalem to the Oasis of Ein Gedi and Ein Bokek, which have public and private beaches on the Dead Sea.
Attraction
Being a water body, there is no dearth of water sports in Dead Sea. Besides the fact that the water quality of Dead Sea is unique, there are plenty of hot springs all along the shoreline. It’s a haven for spa lovers because there are some dedicated spas like the Ein Gedi Resort, which is quite a popular place. A trip to the Dead Sea is not going to be complete without visiting one of the several small outlets that sell the Dead Sea products. Another popular Dead Sea product is the black mineral mud that will cleanse your skin and allow it to absorb moisture. Apart from this there are several shops selling Israeli and Jordanian handicrafts and rugs.

There is not much of nightlife near Dead Sea but you can enjoy a quiet evening at the beaches or a dancing night at the hotel bars and pubs.

Being a Sea resort town, Dead Sea has a deep rooted history but no culturally strong background.

There are no particular events or festivals near Dead Sea. The Jordanian side of Dead Sea celebrates Jordanian festivals while the Israeli side celebrates Israeli festivals.
