Transportation
You can reach Nazareth from Tel Aviv (102km) or Jerusalem (131km). From Tel Aviv, you can either drive down in a rental car or take the bus numbers 823 and 826 from the New Central Bus Station to Nazareth. The entire drive will take around 2 hours from Tel Aviv. From Haifa, the journey by road is about 30 minutes and you can take bus number 331 from station Merkaz Hashmona. If you are traveling from Jerusalem then the direct bus to Nazareth is 955. While in Nazareth you can walk around and cover most of central Nazareth on foot. Public transport in the form of taxi and buses are also there.
Attraction
Being one of the most revered attractions in Israel there is plenty to see and do in Nazareth. Some of the major attractions include: The Basilica of the Annunciation: This was built just above the sunken grotto which is considered to be the home of Virgin Mary by the Roman Catholic faith. This is the place where she received the Annunciation or the announcement of the birth of Jesus.
This impressive and huge modern-day church has been built on top of the remains of several churches that date back to the Byzantine and Crusader eras. The visiting hours to the church are: Mon-Sat 8:30AM-11:45AM & 2PM-5:50PM; Sunday and day of feasts 2PM-5:30PM. In the winter, the timings are Mon-Sat 9AM-11:45AM & 2PM-4:30PM; Sunday and day of feasts 2PM-4:30PM.
St. Joseph’s Church: This church is situated along the Basilica of the Annunciation. It is also called the Church of the Nutrition and Joseph’s Workshop. It is believed that there is a cavern in the churchs’ basement where Joseph had his carpentry shop. The visiting hours are: Daily 9AM-11:45AM & 2PM-5:30PM.
Mary’s Well and the Ancient Bath House: This structure surrounds Mary’s Well and is also known as el-Sabil in Arabic. It was recently renovated.
El Mas-jad El Abiad: Also known as the white mosque, this is the first mosque to be built in the city. It was built by Abdalla El Nini almost 200 years ago. The opening hours of the mosque are: All light hours except during the praying hours.

There are no specific places for children except the several beautiful parks, the spectacular cultural ambience and the huge monuments.

You can find a nice market in the middle of the town.
Nightlife
Nightlife is Nazareth is quite good and there is a popular restaurant cum bar called Al Bayat or The House just behind Mary's Well. You will be able to find most of the alcoholic brands from all over the world as well as an extensive menu of different types of international cuisines. Another nice place for visit is the outdoor patio that offers local Palestinian beer and is called Taybeh meaning Tasty.
Culture
Nazareth is culturally alive and you will find many live cultural shows and other artistic acts taking place throughout the year. There are also many religious festivals that take place here quite often.
